Hi! I’m a sophomore originally from New York studying Earth & Environmental Science with a minor in Sustainability & Environmental Management. Although I have not yet completed a course in the EES Department, one of my favorite sustainability-related classes was URBS 1151: Comparative Cultures of Resilience and Sustainability in the Netherlands and the U.S.; in this global seminar, I traveled around the Netherlands to study adaptation strategies for climate change and sea level rise. This semester, I look forward to learning GIS mapping through hands-on projects in ENVS 3700. Aside from being a member of the UAB, I’m a research assistant in Barott Lab, which studies interactions between coral reefs and the environment; a member of Isla Urbana, a club that fundraises for clean water scarcity; and a violinist in the Penn Symphony Orchestra.
