The University of Pennsylvania's Earth and Environmental Science Undergraduate Advisory Board exists to serve undergraduates and the department for the betterment of all. Our central function is to serve as the representative board for undergraduates by communicating between the department and the undergraduate population. We strive to enhance the academic experience for undergraduate students within the department by advocating for change and organizing events to cultivate community.
Peer Office Hours
The Undergraduate Advisory Board hosts peer office hours, which are intended for undergraduates who are interested or declared in the Earth and Environmental Science department to receive advice and mentorship from members of the department’s Undergraduate Advisory Board. Potential discussion topics may include: choosing between the two EES majors, course selection, finding research opportunities or funding, balancing a semester abroad, approaching faculty members in the department, or any other topics you desire. Peer office hours are also an opportunity to voice your feedback regarding the department, such as courses you would like to see, problems communicating with faculty members, or DEI concerns.
Peer office hours can be scheduled using the links available in each board member's bios.
